A Life, half Lived!!

Faces of incompleteness haunt my existence,
Strolling through miseries,
I come across thousands of masks.

Masks that get us through our days,
And behind them a rotten person fails to breathe.
We cry at night, unable to sleep.

Is this how we were supposed to be?
Looking for a walking stick,
building imaginary stories brick by brick.

A smile amidst a all these screams shock me,
An infant is delighted by reaching his mothers breast,
Are we any different?
The only difference is that we fail to recognize our happiness.

Each person seems to be snipped,
As if the other half is waiting somewhere else,
But we close our ears, ignoring the holy bells.

Life ends just the way it started,
All we learn is that learning kills,
One person is pulled back by another,
All of us keep playing this game, killing our own brother.

He passed away at five fifty five…

She drove past a wedding ceremony,
A celebration in the foreign land brought a smile to her sulked face.
Life was going to change forever as soon as she would read the next message.
Her eyes had a thick layer of kajal and her hair was parted with a pinch of red powder.

She had always dreamt of saying her last words in her husband’s arms,
Living a free life yet following the norms.
Life had been a field of experiments to her,
Wearing a yellow saree with with an overcoat of fur.

In her eyes, one could see all those she had met,
It was like a walk through countless emotions.
She sang like a nightingale,
bringing delight to everyone who cared to listen.

Who would know, that all this would change in a second,
As she pressed that button, singing her husbands favorite rhyme,
Missing him, trying to kill away this lonely time.
The officer had left the message,
Hopping somebody would come and collect the package.

“Your husband passed away at five fifty five,
We request you to come and recognize.”
She ran as far she could,
gasping for breath she fell on her knees.
After a minutes silence, she screamed as if this was it…

Ram Naam Satya Hai

Every problem has a solution,

I was taught this at school,

before I was asked to dive in this pool.

And they were not wrong, we all have our parts in the equation.

I open the door and enter a living room,

Its littered with some grass and a broken broom

Under the dirt of blood, lies his body.

I hear voices behind my head.

Ram naam Satya hai.

Ram naam Satya hai.

He was a dealer of life,

a player of knife.

just a pawn in the game of big men.

All he wanted was to be satisfied.

All he got was.

Ram naam Satya Hai

The virus opens from one fold to another,

What we see is just the bird’s feather.

Thousand lives are buried,

unheard and unsaid.

And all that we get to hear is,

Ram naam satya hai.

They fight each day,

Not with aliens,

But from parasites, who sucks their blood

and generates the power to run this system.

Their struggle is muted by the sound of

Ram naam satya hai…

Ram naam satya hai…

A Ring, a ring o' roses

A ring, a ring o' roses,
A pocket full o’posies-
Atch chew! atch chew!

Look there,

Oh my god, its something new…

Let’s sit in a circle,

And pray to the rocks,

“Let me live with all that I have,

and keep everything else

away from my reach”

A ring, a ring o' roses,
A pocket full o’posies-
Atch chew! atch chew!

Run! son run!!

It might just kill you…

Don’t observe, don’t listen, don’t say.

Make tomorrow just like yesterday.

If you think something of your own,

Then you don’t deserve to see the dawn.

But ma? Why shoul’ I no’ ‘ream of all fun ‘nd no ‘ork,

Or ‘nakes eatin’ with a for’???

Son! That’s the way this world runs,

And things like this are not heavenly,

But come from empires down under the earth,

It’s a dark, dark place, called HELL.

Ma! Cn I go ‘ut ‘nd play?

Ring-a-ring-a-roses,
A pocket full of posies;
Hush! hush! hush! hush!
We’re all tumbled down…

Dead Or Alive

It’s dark out there,

You are scared in here,

Shiver seems to be everywhere.

And your thoughts aren’t clear

Your heart needs someone’s presence

to remind you of your essence.

The silence is screaming in you,

It’s so dry, in spite of the due.

Everything you ever owned,

Has slipped by your fingers,

The job is done by the diggers,

All the seeds have been plucked once sowed.

Someone is howling in the graveyard,

It’s you six feet under.

The last card is laid.

your soul starting to fade.

You died of the thirst to feel,

Buried due to the

inability to heal.

lost the last chance to kneel.

That’s how I woke up this morn’

My soul was torn.

Was it just a dream?

Or the future’s scream?

SCREAM

Round and round,

The voices revolve in my head.

Its nothing new,

words that were once said.

I close my eyes

And death begins

Rising from the ashes of life.

Running away is not an option,

Stabbed in the heart, I sit back,

Making a plan,

Joining the ancient clan.

My phone rings at one twenty,

I was about to jump of the cliff,

But I stop to hear the last message.

I see hope,

Or maybe just poison,

in my regular dope.

I wake up, amidst screams,

Loaded with memories,

Were they just dreams?

I drink coffee,

And read the morning paper

Again….

Sailing in the same drain!!!
